Public Transportation. . . . Both the Hampton Jitney and the Long Island Railroad are on the web. Local Government. . . . Residents of Rocky Point and its surrounding communities are a part of the Town of Brookhaven. The Rocky Point Civic Association maintains a website to keep the community informed. Included are e-mail addresses, addresses and phone numbers for ALL the communities elected officials. Brookhaven Supervisor John J. LaValle, Jr., and members of the Town Council are leading a town-wide campaign to make Brookhaven residents aware of the STAR (School Tax Relief) Program. An online application is available through the NYS website. Brookhaven is a town in Suffolk County.

Rocky Point History. . . . The Radio Corporation of America (RCA) is a major part of Rocky Point History. The RCA Property is located along County Road 21. The New York Daily Mirror Newspaper sponsored lot sales in Rocky Point in the 1920's. The History of Rocky Point is an interesting link to visit. The Rocky Point Historical Society meets monthly at the North Shore Beach Clubhouse.

Traffic/Weather. . . . The forecast for the North Shore from the Weather Channel. Traffic reports for the metropolitan area and Long Island are available through MetroGuide.

Newspapers. . . Read the NY Times and Newsday online. Our local north shore newspapers include: The Times-Beacon Record, Pennysaver and the Community Journal.
