In a remarkable display of community spirit and philanthropy, the District 7255 Rotary Cup 2024 was held on June 17th at the picturesque St. George’s Golf and Country Club on Long Island's North Shore. This year's event perfectly blended friendly competition with a strong fundraising effort, creating a memorable day for all participants.
From start to finish, the enthusiasm was evident as golfers navigated the meticulously maintained course. Each swing brought them closer to raising essential funds for Shelter Box, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact.
After a full day on the greens, participants gathered for the End Polio Now dinner, transitioning seamlessly from the outdoor competition to an evening of camaraderie and celebration. The dinner featured a raw bar, cocktails, and a gourmet meal of steak and lobster. Conversations were filled with reflections on the day's events and shared laughter over delectable desserts.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Rotary Cup Trophy by emcee Chris Clausen and Rocky Point Rotary President Kevin Mann, celebrating the champions of the day and acknowledging the collective effort of everyone involved. The event's success was significantly bolstered by the support of generous sponsors, participants, volunteers, and staff.
In total, substantial funds were raised for Shelter Box and End Polio, underscoring the power of community and collaboration. The District 7255 Rotary Cup 2024 was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success.
