At the Rocky Point Rotary weekly luncheon on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, members welcomed Kara Cannon and Jane Alcorn from the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe.
The presentation focused on the Center’s mission to preserve Nikola Tesla’s last remaining laboratory and transform the historic Wardenclyffe site into a vibrant science and education destination for future generations. Cannon and Alcorn shared elements of the long-term site plan, including educational spaces, outdoor learning areas, and public exhibits designed to engage students, families, and the broader community.
They also highlighted Brick for Nik, the Center’s commemorative brick program, which gives supporters an opportunity to leave a permanent mark at Wardenclyffe while directly supporting the preservation and development of the site.
Rocky Point Rotary thanks Kara Cannon and Jane Alcorn for an informative and engaging presentation and for their continued work preserving the legacy of Nikola Tesla on Long Island.
